Biden Urges Proportional Response to Iran's Missile Attack on Israel
U.S. President Joe Biden stated that he does not support strikes on Iran's nuclear sites in retaliation for its missile attack on Israel. Biden emphasized a proportional response and discussed G7 nations' consensus on Israel's right to respond. He also mentioned imposing more sanctions on Iran and future talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
U.S. President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that he does not support strikes on Iran's nuclear sites in response to its missile attack against Israel. He stressed the importance of a proportional response.
'We'll be discussing with the Israelis what they're going to do, but all seven of us (G7 nations) agree that they have a right to respond but the response but they should respond proportionally,' Biden told reporters before boarding Air Force One.
Biden mentioned further sanctions against Iran and indicated that he would soon hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the situation. 'Obviously, Iran is way off course,' he added.
