Man Arrested for Abusing Doctor at RG Kar Medical College

A Kolkata resident was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly threatening and abusing a doctor at RG Kar Medical College, a facility that has seen protests over past incidents of rape and murder involving medics.

The arrest followed a complaint from a doctor who was threatened by the man while treating a traumatic injury of the man's relative.

According to the police, the suspect was detained by on-duty police officers and later arrested. An investigation has been initiated under multiple sections at Tala police station.
