Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday distributed land deeds to nearly 21,000 beneficiary families from Vimukta, nomadic, and semi-nomadic communities. The event, a part of the 'Swachh Bharat Mission Rural and residential deed distribution programme,' took place at the State Agricultural Management Institute in Durgapura.
Earlier, Sharma visited a Khadi exhibition where he emphasized the cultural and environmental benefits of Khadi, urging people to take advantage of a 50% discount on Khadi products to support local spinners and weavers. He also made a symbolic purchase using UPI payment.
During the event, Sharma underscored the state government's commitment to fulfilling promises made in the Sankalp Patra, including increasing farmers' support funds, reducing fuel costs, and creating significant employment opportunities. He also highlighted initiatives to make Rajasthan self-reliant in energy by 2027 and to provide ample electricity to farmers.
Furthermore, Sharma announced plans to fill 60,000 vacant grade IV posts and recruit 23,820 sanitation workers through local bodies. These steps are part of the government's broader goal to create 1 lakh jobs this year and 4 lakh over five years.
