Iran's Missile Attack Sparks Escalating Conflict In Gaza

Sameh Khadr Hassan Al-Asali, a 38-year-old Gazan, was laid to rest on Wednesday after becoming the sole known fatality from Iran's missile strike against Israel, witnesses reported.
Al-Asali was staying at a Palestinian security forces compound in the West Bank when missile debris struck him during Tuesday's attack, which Israel's air defence systems largely intercepted. The conflict, triggered by Hamas's assault on Israel last October, has since drawn in Iran and Hezbollah, leading to daily cross-border fire.
This latest phase saw Israel executing intense air strikes on Lebanon targets, responding to Hezbollah's barrages of rockets. Recent escalations have resulted in the heaviest violence since the 2006 war.
