Russian drones launched a series of overnight attacks targeting port infrastructure in Ukraine's southern Odesa region. The assaults led to significant damage, including at a grain facility and a border crossing to Romania. Thousands were left without power in the northern Sumy region as a result.

In particular, the Izmail district near the Danube river was hit, reported Oleh Kiper, the regional governor, via Telegram. "Russia continues to wage war against grain and global food security," noted Oleksiy Kuleba, deputy prime minister for restoration, who also confirmed damage to the grain facility and administrative buildings at the Orlivka crossing.

Operations at the Orlivka crossing have been temporarily suspended, Kiper added. Two lorry drivers, including a Turkish citizen, have been injured in the attack. Additionally, an electrical substation in the northern Sumy region was targeted, leading to power cuts affecting over 80,000 consumers, according to Ukraine's energy ministry.

The Ukrainian air force claimed it successfully destroyed 11 out of 32 Russian attack drones launched during the night. Further drone activity saw four drones exiting Ukrainian airspace toward Russia and ten drones lost to electronic warfare countermeasures in northern and central regions.
