Saudi Arabia is advocating for de-escalation and dialogue amidst the escalating tensions in the Middle East, Economy Minister Faisal al-Ibrahim stated on Wednesday at a conference in Berlin. His remarks follow Iran's recent missile attack on Israel.
Describing the situation as unfortunate yet unavoidable in discussions, al-Ibrahim emphasized that wisdom should prevail, leading to de-escalation, dialogue, and greater collaboration both globally and regionally to tackle the existing challenges.
Tensions in the region have surged with Israel's intensified operations in Lebanon over the past two weeks, accompanied by a continuing conflict in Gaza. Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps declared that their attack on Israel was a retaliatory move against Israeli offensives targeting militant leaders and groups allied with Iran like Hezbollah and Hamas.
