FIR Filed Against Trader Leader for Alleged Offensive Comment on Prophet Muhammad

An FIR was registered against a traders' body office-bearer on Tuesday for allegedly posting objectionable comments against the Prophet, police reported.
Shravasti Additional SP Praveen Kumar Yadav stated that Abdul Latif filed a complaint against Kanhaiya Kasaudhan, the divisional president of Uttar Pradesh Vyapar Mandal, accusing him of making offensive comments against Prophet Muhammad on his Facebook account.
Based on the complaint, an FIR has been filed under section 299 (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings) at Ekauna police station. Meanwhile, some individuals protested the comments, demanding Kasaudhan's immediate arrest. Despite the protests, no communal tension has been detected, and security measures are in place as the investigation continues, police confirmed.
