Escalating Middle East Conflict: Israeli Airstrikes and Ground Operations Intensify
Israeli airstrikes in Gaza killed 21 people, with strikes targeting Hamas command centres. The violence comes amid a broader conflict involving Israel's ground operation in Lebanon against Hezbollah. The conflict, initially sparked by Hamas's deadly assault on Israel, has led to significant loss of life and displacement.
Israeli airstrikes killed at least 21 people in Gaza on Tuesday, according to local medics, as the conflict intensified. The Israeli military stated that they were targeting Hamas command centres.
Palestinian health officials reported that at least 13 people, including women and children, died in two strikes on homes in Nuseirat, one of Gaza's historic refugee camps. No immediate comment was provided by the Israeli army on these incidents.
Another strike on a school in Gaza City that served as a shelter for displaced families killed at least seven people. The military claimed the school was being used by Hamas militants. The violence coincides with Israel's ground operation in Lebanon, which has exacerbated the conflict in the Middle East.
