Ukraine's Defence Minister, Rustem Umerov, has announced the dismissal of three deputy ministers in a significant reshuffle aimed at reforming the defence sector. The decision targets Stanilsav Haider, Oleksandr Serhiy, and Yuriy Dzhygyr.
Umerov shared on social media that the move is part of a broader initiative to cleanse the procurement system in collaboration with law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies. Liudmyla Darahan, the ministry secretary, will also be relieved of her duties.
This reshuffle comes as Ukrainian leaders work to streamline bureaucracy and tackle corruption amidst the ongoing Russian invasion. New appointments are expected to be revealed soon.
