Japanese tire maker Bridgestone announced on Tuesday that it would not renew its worldwide partnership agreements with the Olympics and Paralympics, set to expire this year.

This decision follows similar moves by Toyota Motor and Panasonic Holdings, both of which ended their top sponsorships for the Games in September.

Bridgestone, which has been a Worldwide Olympic Partner since 2014, made the announcement in a statement, marking a significant shift in corporate sponsorship for the international sporting events.
