Police have successfully recovered and neutralized three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) weighing 5 kg each, planted by Naxalites beneath a dirt track in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district.

The explosives, discovered near Hokpad village on the Kasturmeta-Mohndi road during a patrol by the district force and the Indo Tibetan Border Police, were packed in pressure cookers and hidden underground with the intent to target security forces.

The timely intervention by the Bomb Disposal Squad averted a major tragedy. This incident underscores the persistent threat of Naxalite activities in the Bastar division, which includes Narayanpur among its seven districts.
