Priest Murdered in Ancient Hanuman Temple: Police Face Inquiry
A 75-year-old priest of an ancient Hanuman temple in Suriyawa was found murdered with his throat slit. Several temple bells and donation boxes were missing. Four policemen have been suspended for not addressing the priest’s repeated complaints about thefts and disturbances. A departmental inquiry is underway.

A 75-year-old priest at an ancient Hanuman temple in Suriyawa was discovered murdered in his room on Monday, police confirmed.
Missing bells and donation boxes were reported from the temple. Four police officers, including the Station House Officer, were immediately suspended for ignoring the priest's repeated theft complaints.
A thorough investigation has been launched, and five teams are working to solve the case. Senior officials, along with a forensic team, inspected the crime scene. The priest, Sitaram, had been living at the temple for 30 years, entrusted by locals to maintain the premises.
