In a tragic incident on Monday afternoon, a 50-year-old labourer lost his life while a petrol pump owner suffered severe burns after coming into contact with a high tension wire, police reported.

Authorities stated that Raju, also known as Riyazuddin, along with petrol pump owner Nand Kishore Pandey, were handling an iron ladder when it inadvertently touched the high tension electricity line.

As a result, Raju died instantly at the scene, while Pandey sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention, according to Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Triguna Bisen.
