Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has urged the United Nations General Assembly to recommend the use of force if the U.N. Security Council cannot curb Israel's actions in Gaza and Lebanon. This suggestion follows a precedent set by the 1950 Uniting for Peace resolution.

Turkey, a NATO member, has condemned Israel's aggressive actions against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Erdogan announced the suspension of all trade with Israel and Turkey's application to join a genocide case against Israel at the World Court, which Israel has dismissed.

Erdogan lamented the inaction of Muslim countries regarding Israel's actions and called for economic, diplomatic, and political measures to pressure Israel into a ceasefire. He emphasized that without intervention, Israel's attacks could extend to neighboring Muslim countries, urging immediate mobilization from the international and Muslim communities.
