More than a hundred Muslims held a march waving the Tricolour in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday, pledging to abide by the court verdict regarding an under-construction mosque.
The march was a response to Friday's protests by Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad, who claimed that the mosque was being built on land belonging to a temple trust and continued construction despite a stay order.
Leaders of the Muslim community submitted a memorandum to Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh, committing to the court order and emphasizing the importance of communal harmony.
M Siddiqui, a former BJP leader, confirmed that the community had filed a case in civil court, and would accept the court's decision based on documents and evidence.
