A complaint was lodged against RJD president Lalu Prasad on Monday in a Bihar court over a social media post addressing alleged rape incidents in the state.
Filed by local advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Muzaffarpur, the legal action challenges Prasad's comments on X, condemning the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar.
The petition asserts that Prasad's post, which equated Bihar with rape, has hurt the sentiments of the people and calls for legal proceedings against the former chief minister under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita. A hearing is set for October 24.
