The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday requested an urgent meeting with Lt Governor VK Saxena to discuss the alarming rise in gang-related extortion and the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi.

In a letter to the LG, AAP MLAs expressed deep concern over recent gang violence and extortion, including three shooting incidents targeting business owners in different parts of the city.

These incidents occurred at a car showroom in Naraina, a hotel in southwest Delhi, and a sweet shop, all linked to extortion activities by gangsters according to police. The MLAs stressed that unchecked gang violence would harm businesses and severely impact Delhi's economy, urging immediate measures to restore public and business community confidence.
