On Monday, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant hinted at a potential ground operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon, as reported by various Israeli media outlets.
Addressing armoured corps troops stationed near the Lebanese border, Gallant underscored the importance of eliminating Hassan Nasrallah. However, he stressed that this would not suffice in ensuring the safety of residents in northern Israel.
"Nasrallah's elimination is an important step but it is not the end - to return the residents of the north safely to their homes, we will activate all our capabilities - including you," Gallant told the troops.
