An Israeli airstrike in Tyre, Lebanon, claimed the lives of Hamas leader Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin and his family on Monday, according to the group. Additionally, three leaders from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine were killed in a strike in central Beirut, the first within the city limits.

These fatalities are part of a two-week surge in Israeli attacks on militant targets in the region, stretching from Gaza and the West Bank to Yemen and within Israel. This comes after the high-profile assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah last week. The escalating violence has destabilized Lebanon and raised fears of a broader Middle East conflict involving Iran and the U.S.

More than 1,000 Lebanese have been killed in recent strikes, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry, with a significant portion of the population displaced. The international community, including the United States, has called for diplomatic resolutions, but the ongoing exchange of fire along the Lebanon-Israel border shows no sign of abating.
