International Aid Mobilizes for Lebanon Amid Israel-Hezbollah Conflict
The recent Israeli attacks on Hezbollah have resulted in significant casualties and displacement in Lebanon. Many countries, including the EU, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Canada, France, Turkey, and UAE, have pledged humanitarian aid. Efforts include medical assistance, shelter, food, and financial support to aid the affected Lebanese population.
Recent Israeli attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon have killed over 1,000 people and wounded 6,000, as reported by the Lebanese Health Ministry.
Approximately a million people have fled their homes, seeking refuge in schools in Lebanon or neighboring Syria, lacking essential supplies. Various nations have stepped in with humanitarian aid to Lebanon amidst the escalating conflict.
The European Union announced a 10-million-euro aid package to provide protection, food, shelter, and healthcare. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Canada, France, Turkey, and the UAE have also committed to offering various forms of medical and humanitarian aid to support the Lebanese population facing the crisis.
