Police have lodged a case against three women and a man for allegedly assaulting BJP corporator Arvind Verma in a public place in Bhopal, as reported by law enforcement officials.

A video showing the women attacking Verma, who represents ward no. 48, has gained traction on social media. In response, the BJP has issued a notice to Verma, demanding an explanation within three days. Verma, in a video statement, refuted the accusations, calling the incident a conspiracy.

Chunabhatti police station inspector Bhupendra Kaur Sindhu confirmed that they are investigating allegations from both sides. The police registered a case based on Verma's complaint, while also considering a complaint from one of the accused, alleging Verma’s extortion efforts. Meanwhile, the BJP's Bhopal district chief stated that the party’s image has been tarnished and warned of stern action if Verma fails to respond adequately.
