Israel launched airstrikes targeting Houthi positions in Yemen on Sunday, responding to missile attacks from the Iran-aligned militants.

The strikes resulted in at least four fatalities and 29 injuries, according to the Houthi-run Health Ministry. Residents reported widespread power outages in Hodeidah following the bombings. Israel's military confirmed the strikes, noting they included attacks on power plants and ports in Hodeidah and Ras Issa.

July saw a similar incident when Israeli warplanes targeted Houthi military assets following a drone strike on Tel Aviv. The Israeli military highlighted the Houthis' operations under Iran's direction, collaborating with Iraqi militias to destabilize the region and disrupt global navigation.

The Houthis, in solidarity with Palestinians since the Gaza war outbreak, have consistently launched missile and drone attacks on Israel. The latest involved a ballistic missile targeting Ben Gurion International Airport, intercepted by Israel.

Houthi spokesperson Mohammed Abdulsalam, in a post on X, affirmed the group's continued support for Gaza and Lebanon despite the Israeli airstrikes. Iran condemned the bombings, accusing Israel of attacking civilian infrastructure and calling for resistance against successive Israeli aggressions.

Earlier, the Houthi movement mourned the loss of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.
