Iran Condemns Israeli Strikes on Yemen, Calls for Support of Lebanon
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned Israel's recent attacks on Iran-aligned 'Axis of Resistance' countries, including Yemen and Lebanon. In escalating conflicts, Israeli bombings targeted Houthi positions and killed Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, prompting Iran to call for a unified regional response and denounce attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned Israel's aggressive actions against countries aligned with Iran in the 'Axis of Resistance,' warning that such attacks must not go unanswered.
Israel recently expanded its confrontations by bombing Houthi targets in Yemen, and previously, it killed Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon. Pezeshkian emphasized the need for regional unity, stating that Lebanese fighters should receive support to prevent further Israeli aggression.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, also denounced the Israeli strikes in Yemen as targeting civilian infrastructure, including a power plant and fuel tanks. He reiterated warnings about Israel's warmongering impacts on regional and international peace and security.
