A Polish non-government organisation announced on Sunday it has filed a lawsuit against President Andrzej Duda for remarks he made in 2023 regarding the film 'Green Border,' which covers the migrant crisis at the Belarus border.

The nationalist Law and Justice (PiS) party, aligning with Duda, criticised the award-winning film by director Agnieszka Holland, asserting it mistreated Polish security forces handling border migrants. Duda commented that he wasn't surprised critics used the slogan 'Only pigs sit in the cinema' to describe viewers.

The Racist and Xenophobic Behaviour Monitoring Centre disclosed on social media that they sued Duda for offending his citizens. Duda's office head, Malgorzata Paprocka, confirmed the lawsuit and stated that the trial was scheduled for October 24, 2025, with Duda to be represented by his attorney.
