Odisha has successfully completed the e-KYC updation for more than two crore beneficiaries under its public distribution system, as confirmed by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra.

The minister indicated that the verification process for the remaining 1.5 crore individuals would be finalized within the next 45 days, ensuring that only genuine beneficiaries receive aid under the state's and Centre's food security schemes.

Upon completion, ineligible recipients will be discarded and new eligible beneficiaries will be included. Official data reveals that around 80% of the state's population benefits from these schemes.
