Odisha Completes e-KYC for Over 2 Crore PDS Beneficiaries, Targets Remaining 1.5 Crore in 45 Days
The e-KYC updation for over two crore beneficiaries under the public distribution system in Odisha is complete. The remaining 1.5 crore beneficiaries are expected to be updated within 45 days. The initiative aims to ensure genuine beneficiaries receive benefits under various food security schemes by removing ineligible recipients.

Odisha has successfully completed the e-KYC updation for more than two crore beneficiaries under its public distribution system, as confirmed by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra.
The minister indicated that the verification process for the remaining 1.5 crore individuals would be finalized within the next 45 days, ensuring that only genuine beneficiaries receive aid under the state's and Centre's food security schemes.
Upon completion, ineligible recipients will be discarded and new eligible beneficiaries will be included. Official data reveals that around 80% of the state's population benefits from these schemes.
