A massive police operation in Harda, Madhya Pradesh, culminated in the arrest of Sunil Korku, 22, accused of raping a 5-year-old child. The incident first came to light on September 23 when the child was found unconscious near a river under the Sirali police station limits.

Authorities confirmed that Korku had lured the child with snacks before committing the crime in an isolated area. The police, aided by villagers and a reward incentive, managed to arrest Korku from near Mata Mandir in Mohanpura. However, before his arrest, Korku consumed pesticide and was rushed to a nearby hospital, and later to Bhopal for advanced care. His condition is reported as critical.

The week-long search operation involved around 200 police personnel scouring a densely forested area. Officials used a state-of-the-art thermal imaging drone with night vision capabilities to aid in the search. This drone was supplied by the Bhopal-based Madhya Pradesh Electronic Development Corporation and played a crucial role in locating Korku.
