At least seven labourers from Punjab province were killed by separatist militants in the volatile Balochistan province of Pakistan, according to police reports on Sunday. The labourers, hailing from Multan, were fatally shot late Saturday night while they slept in an under-construction house in Panjgur town's Khuda-e-Abadan area, Balochistan Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari stated.

Ansari confirmed that the labourers were in deep sleep when armed terrorists stormed the house and unleashed automatic gunfire. Fortunately, one labourer escaped with injuries, while another was not present during the shooting. An ongoing investigation seeks to uncover further details about the attack.

A security official indicated that the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) is likely responsible, given the attack's similarities to previous incidents. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif swiftly condemned the assault, demanding a report from Balochistan's Chief Minister and reaffirmed the government's commitment to eradicating terrorism. President Asif Ali Zardari also denounced the attack.
