Punjab Police Busts Major Cross-Border Drug Smuggling Racket

In a significant development, Punjab Police announced on Sunday that they had dismantled a major cross-border drug smuggling racket, seizing six kilograms of heroin and over 60 cartridges.
The operation was spearheaded by the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Amritsar, according to Director General of Police, Gauarv Yadav.
Yadav noted on a post on X that an FIR under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been filed. The investigation aims to uncover the broader network behind the smuggling operation.
