Tragic Hit-and-Run: Constable Killed in Delhi Incident

A car driver allegedly hit and killed a motorcycle-riding constable in outer Delhi after being admonished for rash driving. The constable, Sandeep, was dragged for 10 meters and later declared dead at the hospital. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.

In a tragic incident in outer Delhi, a car driver allegedly hit and killed a motorcycle-riding constable early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 2.15 am when the constable, identified as 30-year-old Sandeep, was on duty and noticed the vehicle being driven recklessly.

Upon admonishing the driver, the car accelerated, hitting Sandeep’s motorcycle and dragging him for about 10 meters. The vehicle came to a halt after hitting another car. Severely injured, Sandeep was rushed to Sonia Hospital and later transferred to Balaji Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to Delhi Police, CCTV footage confirmed that Sandeep indicated the vehicle to slow down before the tragic event. A case under Section 103 (murder) of BNS has been registered, and police are investigating the matter. Two suspects are currently absconding. Sandeep is survived by his mother, wife, and five-year-old son.
