A contract worker was discovered hanging in a room within the attorney general's office, according to local police. Manish Saini, aged 34, was found hanging in Ashok Nagar, Assistant Police Commissioner Balaram reported. An investigation is currently underway, with the body sent for post-mortem examination, he confirmed.
In a related development, family members of the deceased are staging a sit-in protest outside the office building. They are demanding both a government job and financial compensation for the dependent, Kumar said. Efforts to calm the protestors are ongoing, the official added.
