A dramatic police chase in Namakkal ended in a shootout and the arrest of six suspects involved in an ATM heist in Kerala's Thrissur. One suspect was shot dead, and another was injured, according to senior police officials.
The gang had brazenly attempted to flee, ramming into cars and two-wheelers. The police intercepted the container truck used in the heist at Sannasiapatti after it had dragged a car for 250 meters. The chase ensued after the vehicle failed to stop at a check post.
Officials revealed that the suspects had divided into two groups for the robbery, traveling in a container and a car from Haryana. Two police officers and a suspect were injured during the confrontation, with the latter admitted to a government hospital.
