A man has been convicted by a court for raping an eight-year-old girl in 2016. The victim's testimony was deemed credible and supported by material evidence.
The court ruled out false allegations, noting that no parents would risk their minor daughter's reputation with baseless claims. Additional Sessions Judge Babita Puniya heard the case and found inconsistencies in the defense arguments.
Special Public Prosecutor Sharawan Kumar Bishnoi highlighted that the victim was dragged and raped by the accused. The court rejected the claim that the victim had misidentified the accused, who is also facing another trial for rape and murder.
