Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis launched a ballistic missile and drone at Israeli cities Tel Aviv and Ashkelon, in support of Gaza and Lebanon. The Israeli army intercepted the missile. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea declared ongoing operations until Israeli offensives in Gaza and Lebanon cease.
Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis announced on Friday that they targeted Israel's cities, Tel Aviv and Ashkelon, with a ballistic missile and drone, in a show of support for Gaza and Lebanon.
The Israeli army reported intercepting the missile fired from Yemen, following sirens and explosions heard early in the day. Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Sarea, stated their operations will continue until Israel halts its offensives in Gaza and Lebanon.
"More military operations will be carried out against the Israeli enemy in victory for the blood of our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon," said Yahya Sarea in a televised speech. The recent Israeli strikes have resulted in over 600 fatalities in Lebanon since Monday, escalating the conflict between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah to its most intense in over 18 years.
