The Lokayukta police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and others in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case, following a court order.
This development comes after a Special Court in Bengaluru directed the Lokayukta police to investigate the allegations against Siddaramaiah, setting the stage for the FIR filing. The court's order came a day after the High Court upheld the Governor's sanction to investigate Siddaramaiah for alleged illegalities in allotting 14 sites to his wife, B M Parvathi, by MUDA.
The case involves several serious charges, including criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of property, and breaches of trust under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation is set to be completed and a report filed by December 24.
