Four Arrested in Pune for Rape of College Girl Met on Social Media
Two men and two minors have been detained for allegedly raping a 16-year-old college girl in Pune, whom they met on social media. The crimes occurred between April and September. The case came to light during a college session on sexual offences. The Indian Penal Code and IT Act were invoked.

Two men aged between 20 and 22 years were arrested while two minors were detained on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl studying in a Pune college. Police revealed that the accused befriended the victim on social media.
The incidents allegedly took place between April and September at various locations in Pune. The crime came to light during a college session on sexual offences, when a girl disclosed her friend's ordeal to counsellors.
An investigation revealed that the girl met the accused on social media, and was raped on separate occasions. Videos of the victim were also made, leading to the invocation of the IT Act. Charges under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act have been filed.
