A high-level official visit by the Mauritius delegation concluded successfully, focusing on capacity building programs and governance matters, according to an official statement on Thursday.
Talks were led by V Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), and K Conhye, Secretary for Public Service, Mauritius. The delegation included S Ramgolam and S D Jannoo, Directors from Mauritius.
Discussions explored collaboration between the National Centre for Good Governance and the Ministry of Public Services, Mauritius, focusing on capacity building and faculty development programs for public officers.
The three-day visit, from September 23 to 25, included meetings on archival record sharing with Arun Singhal from the National Archives of India and anti-corruption strategies with the Central Vigilance Commission.
Interactions with the Chief Information Commissioner and other officials elaborated on promoting transparency through the Right to Information (RTI).
The visit concluded with a draft Memorandum of Understanding for future collaboration, marking a significant step towards enhanced bilateral cooperation and effective governance.
