Tragic Explosion Claims Life of Young Refugee in Pakistan
A 10-year-old refugee boy was killed in northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when an old mortar shell exploded as he collected waste. A tragic incident occurred in northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when a 10-year-old refugee boy was killed by an exploding mortar shell, rescue officials report.
The boy, who was collecting waste near Khazana Sugar Mill in Peshawar district, died instantly when the shell exploded in his hands. The shell was possibly discarded in a dustbin.
Police forces have been dispatched to secure the area and are conducting a combing operation to search for additional explosives. The child, identified as a refuse collector, had picked up a hand grenade, causing his tragic death.
