China has confirmed that its latest intercontinental ballistic missile launch was conducted as part of routine weapons testing and training exercises, according to a statement from the defense ministry on Thursday.
The spokesperson for the ministry highlighted that China's nuclear policy remains stable, consistent, and predictable. The missile launch was characterized as a legitimate and regular measure.
Addressing the briefing, Zhang Xiaogang reaffirmed China's commitment to maintaining its nuclear capabilities at the minimum level necessary to ensure national security.
