Six Bangladeshi youths have been detained for allegedly entering India illegally. According to police, the arrests were made as the group was about to board a bus to Palladam, in search of employment.
A police team, including personnel from the Rapid Action Force, stopped the youths on suspicion and requested identification documents, such as Aadhaar cards, which they could not provide.
Investigations revealed that the youths had arrived from Bangladesh two weeks earlier but were turned away from a knitwear company in Mudhalipalayam. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances of their illegal entry.
