Chief Minister M K Stalin, in response, lauded the resilience of the DMK leader, asserting that attempts were made to break his spirit by keeping him incarcerated.
Stalin highlighted that Balaji, whom he addressed as his 'dear brother,' received relief after being in prison for 471 days. He accused the Enforcement Directorate of using its powers to suppress opposition but hailed the Supreme Court as the source of justice.
Stalin further emphasized that Balaji's time in prison has only served to strengthen his resolve, drawing parallels to political persecutions during the Emergency. He welcomed Balaji back with renewed vigor and praised his sacrifice and determination.
