Fatal Assault Over Liquor Price Dispute in Hariyabag

A 35-year-old man named Anil Kumar was beaten to death by a group of men after he intervened in an argument over the price of liquor in Hariyabag. Pushpendra, who started the argument, called his associates to attack Anil and Kuldeep, a canteen operator who also tried to intervene. Kuldeep is currently undergoing treatment.

A tragic incident unfolded in Hariyabag, where a 35-year-old man, Anil Kumar, was beaten to death by a group of men over a liquor price dispute, police reported on Wednesday.

The altercation began when Pushpendra, who was upset about a Rs 10 overcharge, argued with the liquor shopkeeper. Anil intervened, noting the practice was common, which escalated the tension.

Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik stated that Pushpendra summoned his associates who attacked Anil with sticks and rods. Kuldeep, a canteen operator who tried to intervene, was also assaulted. Anil succumbed to his injuries, while Kuldeep is under treatment. Authorities are investigating the case registered as murder following a complaint by Anil's family.
