The division bench, consisting of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Prithviraj Chavan, profoundly questioned the procedures surrounding the shootout. While it did not impugn the police's integrity, the bench emphasized the urgency for clarity in the probe.

Furthermore, the court highlighted the importance of transparently addressing all aspects of the case.
