Rijiju Responds to TMC's Claims on Parliamentary Committee Delays
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju responded to claims by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) regarding delays in forming parliamentary committees. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed the Trinamool Congress's (TMC) allegations of delays in forming parliamentary committees, asserting that TMC has yet to submit its nominees.
During a press conference, Rijiju highlighted that those raising concerns are often attempting to stay in the news. He explained that the government had allocated committee chairmanships following consultations and had communicated this to the appropriate parliamentary offices.
Rijiju emphasized that the chairmanship distribution is based on party numbers in parliament and said that the respective parties need to inform the parliament secretariat of their chosen leaders. He also pointed out that while the three key financial committees are already operational, other committees will be formed soon.
