Teen Arrested for Brandishing Gun on Social Media

A 19-year-old was apprehended for allegedly flaunting a gun on social media, drawing inspiration from local criminals, police announced on Wednesday. They received information on Saturday about the individual posting a live video with an illegal weapon on his social media account.

The authorities traced Pritam Kumar to the Ambedkar Nagar area and detained him on Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan revealed that Kumar admitted during questioning that he was influenced by local criminals and was given the pistol to establish public dominance.

The police confiscated a pistol with a live cartridge from his possession, and further investigations are underway.
