Lavrov Criticizes U.N. and Warns Eastern Europe Amidst Ukraine Conflict
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has criticized the U.N. for ignoring alleged Ukrainian excesses in Russia's Kursk region. He asserted that Ukrainian forces were employing Western weapons for indiscriminate attacks. Lavrov also warned Eastern European countries that Western leaders disdain them. He noted increasing global rejection of the U.S. dollar.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has criticized the United Nations for turning a blind eye to purported excesses by Ukrainian forces in Russia's Kursk region.
In an interview with Russia's TASS news agency, Lavrov stated that Ukrainian 'terrorist groups' have been using Western weapons to carry out indiscriminate acts in the region, targeting homes, social institutions, and civilians.
Lavrov also cautioned Eastern European countries, now part of NATO and the European Union, about Western leaders' disdain for them. He added that a growing number of countries are rejecting the U.S. dollar as a global reference currency.
