Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan People's Party, on Tuesday championed the creation of Pakistan's first-ever constitutional court to address provincial disparities and reduce the heavy caseload of the apex court.
Speaking to a gathering of lawyers at the Sindh High Court, Bhutto-Zardari acknowledged that a constitutional amendment for such a court couldn't be presented in Parliament due to opposition resistance.
He asserted that establishing a Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) is essential for equitable governance, promising his party's continued efforts despite previous legislative hurdles.
