In a forceful address to the United Nations General Assembly, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan condemned Israel's military operations in Gaza and criticized Western nations for their support. Erdogan claimed that the values of the UN system and the Western world are dying in Gaza. He called for an 'alliance of humanity' to halt Israel's actions.
Highlighting the humanitarian crisis, Erdogan argued that the hopes of living in a fairer world are diminishing. He accused those calling for a ceasefire of hypocrisy, asserting that they are still supplying weapons to Israel.
Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey's solidarity with Lebanon, condemning Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah fighters there. Turkey has ceased all trade with Israel and has joined a genocide case against Israel at the World Court.
