The Ministry of Textiles is actively participating in the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2024’ campaign, guided by the theme "Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata." The campaign is part of a larger national effort inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for a cleaner and greener India.

Jute Corporation of India (JCI)

The Jute Corporation of India’s Regional Office in Nagaon organized a free health check-up camp for the Safai Mitras of the Nagaon Municipal Board. This event was a gesture of appreciation for the invaluable contribution of Safai Karamcharis in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, acknowledging their critical role in everyday life.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

NIFT campuses hosted street plays, Nukkad Nataks, and reel-making competitions to promote awareness on cleanliness and hygiene. NIFT students energetically participated, using their creativity to spread the message of "Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata." These performances inspired both students and staff to embrace actions that contribute to a cleaner, greener India.

Ministry of Textiles Headquarters

At the Ministry of Textiles Headquarters, a special event under the theme "Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs" was held, focusing on the well-being of Safai Karamcharis. The Ministry distributed masks and sanitizers to encourage personal hygiene and health protection, acknowledging the essential role these workers play in maintaining clean work and public spaces.

Textiles Committee

The Textiles Committee initiated a cyber hygiene drive across its headquarters and regional offices. As part of this effort, antivirus software was installed, and awareness workshops were conducted to educate employees on cyber hygiene. Senior officers also inspected various sections, ensuring the cleanliness and beautification of office spaces while reinforcing best practices in cybersecurity.

These initiatives across various bodies under the Ministry of Textiles underline the collective effort to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility, contributing to the national goal of a Swachh Bharat.
