The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) is dedicated to ensuring effective and timely resolution of grievances via the Centralized Pension Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPENGRAMS), an innovative online portal. This initiative aims to monitor the quality and speed of grievance redressal through Inter-Ministerial Review Meetings (IMRMs), conducted in both physical and virtual formats.

Positive Impact on Pensioners' Lives

The successful resolution of grievances, particularly those involving Family Pensioners and Super-senior Pensioners, has significantly contributed to the financial stability and social empowerment of pensioners. Here are some notable cases that highlight the effectiveness of this initiative:

Ms Rajo (Samaspur, New Delhi): Received payment of arrears for Additional Family Pension totaling Rs. 11.60 lakh to her 112-year-old spouse after a wait of 18 years.

Ms. Prakasho Devi (Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir): Secured Liberalized Family Pension arrears amounting to Rs. 13.18 lakh for her 85-year-old spouse after 28 years.

Sh. Rajkumar (Bhiwani, Haryana): Obtained arrears of pension and Commuted Value of Pension (CVP) totaling Rs. 16.37 lakh after five years of retirement.

Ms. Sarvati Devi (Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan): Received Life Time Arrears (LTA) of Rs. 13.66 lakh for her spouse after a 15-year delay.

Ms. Geetha Bhai (Bangalore, Karnataka): Achieved resumption of Family Pension for a childless widow and received arrears amounting to Rs. 14 lakh after a seven-year wait.

Sh. Mahabir Singh (Jhajhar, Haryana): Received arrears of the Disability element of the pension amounting to Rs. 11.50 lakh after three years.

Ms. S Sathya Devi (Karur, Tamil Nadu): Secured Additional Family Pension and arrears payment totaling Rs. 7.34 lakh.

Sh. Bhanwar Lal Jat (Jodhpur, Rajasthan): Obtained arrears of the Disability Element of pension amounting to Rs. 8 lakh after 12 years.

Sh. Dharam Paul (Jhajhar, Haryana): Received Capitalized Value of Pension totaling Rs. 9 lakh after five years post-retirement.

Sh. Lakhwinder Singh (Ambala, Haryana): Secured Disability Pension arrears amounting to Rs. 9.80 lakh, pending since September 2003.

These successful resolutions exemplify the DoPPW's commitment to addressing the concerns of pensioners effectively, fostering financial security, and enhancing their quality of life. The CPENGRAMS portal continues to play a vital role in streamlining grievance redressal processes, ultimately benefiting the pensioner community.
