NIA Charges Two ISIS Radicals for Terror Funding and Youth Recruitment
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a charge sheet against two men for involvement in radicalising Muslim youth and terror funding. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday filed a comprehensive charge sheet against two individuals for their alleged roles in radicalising Muslim youth and orchestrating terror funding among other anti-national activities, as revealed by an official statement.
The accused, identified as ISIS radicals Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taaha, also known as Taha, and Mussavir Hussain Shazib, also known as Shazib, were previously chargesheeted by the NIA in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, the statement detailed.
Residents of Shivamogga district, Taha and Shazib were reportedly involved in recruiting gullible Muslim youths, including a co-accused in the current case, the probe agency's statement added. The NIA filed its third supplementary charge sheet against both men before a special court, marking a total of 10 accused chargesheeted in the case.
